About the Choir Director
Our interim Choir Director, Sherry Lynn Wilder, has lived, all but 8 years, in Dearing, GA. Sherry grew up as an active member of Fort Creek. During a Revival Service in 1961 at the age of 9 years old she was saved and baptized in the Arrington Mill Pond. She served as Music Director for almost 20 years and earned the nickname "Choir Boss." She is also our pianist, leads the Nursery Ministry, and has helped with various other ministries over the years.
The year 1980 is when Sherry felt God calling her to be more active in the Music Ministry. And she is so glad she did. It is such a blessing to share Jesus through music. A few years later, she felt another call on her life, nursing. God opened all the right doors for her, and she became a Registered Nurse. Even in "retirement" she still works part time.
She loves spending time with her family - husband Alvin, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, 6 grandchildren and her mom. She especially enjoys going to the grand's soccer games and loves the beach and camping.
Sherry considers it an honor to serve her Lord in everything she does. God's blessings are so many, she can't count them! With every opportunity to share Jesus with others she will.
